Quote: "We are very thankful for the last package of air defence. I can't share all the details, but half of the package is already here. It came two days ago."
Details: Zelenskyy specified that Ukraine needs PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles from the United States.
He also stressed the need to take swift action to prepare for the next winter.
"We have plans, and we will share those plans with you. Because it is truly very difficult to repair everything on our own," he told those at the meeting.
Previously: Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Zelenskyy said Ukraine had received interceptor missiles shortly before Russia's large-scale combined attack on 12 February, which had made it possible to shoot down ballistic missiles.
Background:
- Zelenskyy criticised Europe at Davos over problems with the supply of air defence missiles. However, NATO insisted that there had been no delays in Patriot missile deliveries, contrary to the president's remarks.
- Later, NATO said that several partners would provide Ukraine with air defence missiles from their own stockpiles to address the shortage caused by limited supplies from the United States.
- Ukraine's ambassador to NATO has named the six countries that have provided the most assistance in purchasing weapons from the United States.
