Ukraine's air defences have downed nearly 45,000 Shahed drones and over 300 ballistic missiles in four years of war

Since the start of Russia's full scale invasion, Ukraine's air defences have destroyed more than 140,000 aerial assets including more than 2,000 Kh-101 cruise missiles and 44,000 Shahed-type drones.

The Air Force listed the aerial assets shot down over the last four years:
- 86 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aero ballistic missiles
- 709 Kalibr cruise missiles
- 2,459 Kh-101 cruise missiles
- 13 Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles
- 12 Oniks anti ship missiles
- 261 Iskander-K cruise missiles
- 274 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles
- 11 Zirkon anti-ship missiles
- 30 missiles of other types
- 540 guided air-launched missiles
- 44,700 Shahed-type strike drones
- 14,900 reconnaissance drones
- 7,500 Lancet drones
- 70,300 other types of drones.
Details: The Air Force also said that over four years of Russia's full scale invasion, Ukraine's aircraft destroyed 9,000 Russian aerial assets and struck command posts, logistics facilities and areas of concentration of Russian troops and equipment.
Background: Ukraine's Air Force has said that as of the end of winter 2026, one in three Russian drones used against Ukraine is being destroyed by interceptor drone crews.
