Kremlin-aligned Russian news agency RIA Novosti, citing Alexey Likhachev, head of Russian nuclear energy company Rosatom, reported that IAEA experts are currently monitoring repairs to the 330 kV Ferosplavna-1 power line. The line was disconnected on 10 February 2026 as a result of hostilities.
Background:
- In January 2026, Ferosplavna-1 was repaired under another temporary ceasefire arrangement.
- In December 2025, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that there was no consensus during peace talks with Russia regarding the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, but if it remained under Russian control, it would not operate.
