Details: Defrin said more than 100 Israeli Air Force fighter jets have taken part in the strikes, hitting dozens of IRGC headquarters, including its intelligence, air force and internal security units.
"These are significant and powerful strikes. These headquarters operated against Israel and the entire world. Today, they were destroyed along with everyone operating in them," he said.
The IDF also released new footage showing strikes on Iranian air defence systems and ballistic missile launchers in western Iran.
Meanwhile, Channel 12, citing a senior Israeli official, reported that Iran's authorities would not be able to withstand protesters if they take to the streets again.
"In order to create the conditions for toppling the regime, you must wipe out whoever harms the ability to topple the regime, and we are focused on that. Very soon the Iranian people will receive the signal to head out from their homes, the Iranians will understand that and see it with their own eyes," the official said.
Channel 12 added that the US and Israel might call on Iranians to take to the streets within the coming days.
Meanwhile, US Central Command said that American forces have struck over 1,000 targets in Iran since the beginning of its campaign on 28 February.
In its update, Central Command listed "types of targets" including command and control centres, IRGC headquarters and the headquarters of the IRGC Aerospace Force.
