Details: The front company acting as the buyer was Rassadco, which later became part of Kama. The company subsequently transferred the Russian software to Iranian state entities.
The Russian company NtechLab, the developer of FindFace, is under US and EU sanctions because the Russian government used the system to monitor opposition journalists.
The software allowed the Iranian regime to identify protesters post-factum in order to punish them after the protests.
