Zelenskyy discusses Iranian strikes with king of Bahrain
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has spoken with King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa about the situation in Bahrain and the wider region following Iranian missile and drone strikes.

There are various challenges, particularly due to Iranian ballistic missile and drone strikes. Like Bahrain, Ukraine did not want to experience this, but we understand well what constant missile and drone attacks are and how to counter them."
Details: The leaders discussed ways of working in this direction and agreed their teams would stay in contact.

- On the morning of 28 February, Israel and the US launched strikes on Iran and Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.
- Iran responded by striking targets in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates and has blocked the Strait of Hormuz, the main artery for Middle East oil supplies.
- A US-flagged tanker Stena Imperative was attacked in the port of Bahrain, sparking a fire on board. The crew members weren't injured.
