Russians hit energy system yet again, causing outages in three oblasts

Power cuts are affecting consumers in parts of hromadas in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv oblasts on 5 March due to the fighting and Russian attacks on energy infrastructure facilities. Details: Repair crews are already working to restore the power supply where the security situation allows.

Ukrenergo reported that electricity consumption is trending down.

On Wednesday 4 March at 09:30 consumption was 5.3% lower than at the same time the previous day, Tuesday.

Sunny weather across almost all of Ukraine has boosted the output of household solar power plants and reduced demand from the grid.

Background: More than 8,800 customers were left without power on 5 March after a Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia district.
