Russia launches ballistic missile attack on Kyiv

Russian forces attacked the city of Kyiv with ballistic missiles on the night of 6-7 March.

Details: A series of explosions was heard at 01:28.

Another series of explosions followed at 01:41.

"We are carrying out an initial assessment of the aftermath of an attack on the Desnianskyi district. Further details are being confirmed," Tkachenko said.

A third series of explosions in the city was heard between 02:25 and 02:27.

Update: Debris from Russian missiles has been recorded in three districts of the capital as of 07:30.

Quote from Klitschko: "Holosiivskyi district: debris caused smoke and a fire in a non-residential area. The fire has been extinguished.

Desnianskyi district: missile debris was found on the road. There was no fire and no casualties.

Dniprovskiy district: debris was found at three locations. There were no fires and no casualties."

Background: An air-raid warning was issued in several Ukrainian oblasts due to the threat of Russian drones.
