Passenger trains rerouted after large-scale Russian attack

Several passenger trains in three Ukrainian oblasts have been forced to change routes and are running with delays following a large-scale Russian attack that has damaged railway infrastructure.

Quote: "Several Ukrzaliznytsia trains in Rivne, Vinnytsia and Zhytomyr oblasts are being rerouted as a result of a large-scale enemy attack and damage to railway infrastructure. This means delays on routes, which can be tracked on the uz-vezemo website. Backup diesel locomotives have been deployed to all sections without electricity. Inspection and repair of the infrastructure have also begun."

Details: Ukrzaliznytsia said that monitoring teams had managed to protect dozens of passenger trains from over a hundred Russian drones and missiles overnight.

Railway workers performed emergency stops and conducted several overnight evacuations of passengers due to the threat of further strikes.
