Russian forces have occupied the village of Sopych in Sumy Oblast, where earlier reports said local residents had been abducted.

Details: Meanwhile, DeepStateMap currently does not show Sopych as fully occupied, although the latest update was recorded on 5 March.

Background: Earlier, a local media outlet reported that Russian forces had abducted 19 residents of the border village of Sopych in Sumy Oblast to Russia. Interviews with these residents were later shown on the Russian propaganda TV channel Vesti.
