Russians strike Kharkiv: fire breaks out, eight people injured – photos

Russian forces attacked Kharkiv on the evening of 9 March, with a strike recorded near residential buildings.

Quote from Terekhov: "A strike by an enemy combat drone has been recorded in the Industrialnyi district near some apartment buildings. We are clarifying the details."

Details: Syniehubov added that a fire broke out as a result of the strike. Cars and apartments on the lower floors of the building caught fire.

He also said that two people were injured.

Update: Terekhov later reported that the number of those injured had risen to five, including a child.

Update at 22:27: The Prosecutor General's Office said that, according to early reports, the strike had been conducted by a Geran-2 UAV. Cars caught fire and windows in apartments were shattered as a result of the attack.

Four men were injured. A woman and a 16-year-old girl suffered an acute stress reaction.

Update at 22:55: The Prosecutor General's Office said the number of people injured had risen to eight.
