Details: Zaluzhnyi said books outlast eras, wars and borders. He said that as newspapers and traditional sources of information disappear, truth can disappear with them, while information from anonymous sources increasingly shapes people's views.
Quote: "In times of great trials, the word of truth gains particular strength. It should become an instrument of memory, a form of support and a way to explain to the world who we are."
More details: Zaluzhnyi said Ukrainian literature today speaks not only about the war but also about the values that will shape the country's future. Ukraine's presence at the London Book Fair, he said, matters not only for new translations and partnerships but also to ensure Ukrainian voices are heard worldwide.
Zaluzhnyi urged visitors to discover Ukraine through its books, ideas, experiences and the voices of people who are writing the country's history today.
