Details: At the same time, the cash and bank metals transported in the vehicles – US$40 million, €35 million and nine kg of gold – remain held by the Hungarian side.
The bank said that part of the personal belongings of the seven members of the cash-in-transit team were returned together with the vehicles. After the handover, equipment damage was recorded: lawyers on site documented malfunctions and after the vehicles are returned to Ukraine the bank plans to assess losses.
Oschadbank insists that the transportation was carried out legally in accordance with all norms of international law and that its rights to the seized funds and valuables are lawful.
