Trump says US does not need Ukraine's help to defend against drones
President Donald Trump has said the United States does not need Ukraine's assistance to shoot down Iranian drones in the Middle East.

Details: Trump acknowledged on the show that Russia might be assisting Iran in the conflict, but said the US is supporting Kyiv in the Russo-Ukrainian war and receiving funds in return for that support.
In this context, the presenter asked whether Ukraine is helping the US with drone defence. Trump's response was "no".
"We don't need their help in drone defence. We know more about drones than anybody. We have the best drones in the world, actually," Trump said.
Background:
- On 10 March, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukrainian security and counter-drones experts will travel to Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia this week.
- The Financial Times reported that the Pentagon and at least one Gulf state are in negotiations to purchase Ukrainian interceptor drones to counter attacks by Iranian Shahed drones.
- It was also reported that Ukraine had sent interceptor drones and a team of UAV experts to protect US military bases in Jordan.
