Several trains delayed after Russian attack

A number of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) trains have been running with delays following a large-scale Russian attack with missiles and drones.

Quote: "Another difficult night. Our monitoring teams worked in an intensified mode to protect dozens of trains during another large-scale missile-and-drone attack. For safety reasons, we made forced stops and evacuated passengers and crews."
Details: Ukrzaliznytsia noted that thanks to coordinated work by railway workers and the skill of the defence forces, casualties were avoided.
However, there were injured people after a drone hit railway infrastructure: shrapnel damaged the locomotive of a suburban train in Kharkiv Oblast. The driver and the assistant driver were injured and medics provided assistance on site.
"A number of trains are running with delays due to a long air-raid warning in Mykolaiv and forced stops," the statement said.
Background:
- It was previously reported that in Kharkiv Oblast, Russia hit a commuter train with a drone on the night of 13-14 March. Russia also struck the territory of a station in the city of Kryvyi Rih district at night, damaging a locomotive.
- In Kyiv, trolleybuses and trams were temporarily suspended in several parts of the city due to overnight bombardment and power outages on some sections of the contact network.
- Russian troops carried out a combined strike using 498 aerial assets – UAVs and missiles – on the night of 13-14 March, of which the Air Force said 460 were shot down or jammed.
