Zelenskyy arrives in London; visit to begin with audience with the King – video

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the United Kingdom's capital on an official visit on Tuesday 17 March.

Details: Zelenskyy will begin the visit with a meeting with King Charles at Buckingham Palace at 14:00 local time.
At around 14:40 London time, Zelenskyy will arrive at Downing Street, where he will first hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer, followed by a trilateral meeting with Starmer and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
In addition, a separate meeting with Rutte is also scheduled for the evening.
At 16:25 local time, the Ukrainian president will deliver an address to members of the UK Parliament.
Background:
- As part of Zelenskyy's visit to London, the United Kingdom and Ukraine are preparing to sign new defence cooperation agreements.
- The UK will notably provide £500,000 in funding for a new Centre of Excellence in artificial intelligence to be based at Ukraine's Ministry of Defence.
