Russian forces dropped high-explosive aerial bombs on the city of Sloviansk in Donetsk Oblast on Friday, damaging housing, a café and a co-working centre.

Details: The Russians used three FAB-250 bombs in the attack.

"Damage was caused to a co-working centre that was one of Sloviansk's landmarks, a café and multi-storey residential buildings," said Vadym Liakh, Head of Sloviansk City Military Administration.

The authorities reported that there were no casualties.

Background:

  • Prior to this, Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, signed an order for the mandatory evacuation of children from certain districts of Sloviansk that are most vulnerable to Russian attacks.
  • Filashkin said the order had been submitted for approval to the Coordination Headquarters for Evacuation Measures and Effective Response to Mass Displacement, which has been set up by the Ukrainian government.
