Russia claims drone attack has targeted Belgorod governor, St Petersburg airport halts operations

Pulkovo airport in the Russian city of St Petersburg has introduced restrictions on arrivals and departures amid a drone threat, while Russia's National Guard has claimed to have downed a Ukrainian drone that targeted Belgorod Oblast Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

Details: The National Guard told TASS that special forces had destroyed a drone that had targeted Gladkov during a meeting with residents. No casualties or damage were reported.
Meanwhile, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) said that restrictions had been introduced at Pulkovo airport in St Petersburg on both arrivals and departures. A total of 29 flights have been cancelled.
Around 10 aircraft were unable to land at Pulkovo due to the airport closure, a source in air traffic control told TASS.
The governor of Leningrad Oblast earlier reported a drone threat in the region's airspace. It was claimed that air defence systems had downed 10 drones.
