Ukraine's Defence Intelligence posts video of Russian Bastion system being destroyed in Crimea
Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) has released a video showing the destruction of a launcher from a Bastion coastal defence system operated by Russian forces in temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of 23-24 March.
Source: exclusive video published on DIU website
Details: DIU reported that operators from the drone systems department tracked a convoy of Bastion-M launchers moving towards firing positions in Crimea.
Quote: "As a result of precise strikes by intelligence operatives, one launcher and two high-value Zircon missiles have been destroyed, while another Bastion system has been damaged. Seven Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded."
More details: DIU noted that Russian forces use Zircon missiles, deployed via the Bastion system, primarily to target civilians, particularly in southern and eastern oblasts.
Defence Intelligence of Ukraine added that "the aggressor's plans to attack peaceful cities have been thwarted tonight".
