The Kremlin has claimed that there has been no progress on territorial issues in talks over the war in Ukraine, but Russia remains open to further meetings.

Details: Answering journalists' questions, Peskov dismissed a The New York Times report claiming that Russian leader Vladimir Putin was willing to strike a peace deal with Ukraine but changed his mind after the US and Israel launched their operation against Iran, calling it "fiction".

According to Peskov, previous rounds of negotiations achieved only partial progress, while key issues important to Russia remain unresolved.

He stressed that the main focus is on territorial issues, where, according to the Kremlin, "there has been no progress and there is still none".

Quote: "Meanwhile, this does not mean that Russia is losing interest in negotiations. On the contrary, we remain open, stay in contact with the US side and hope that the next round of talks will be held as soon as circumstances allow."
