Ukrainian soldier and comedian Artur Petrov killed in action

Artur Petrov, a Ukrainian stand-up comedian and serviceman from the 43rd Separate Mechanised Brigade, has been killed while evacuating wounded soldiers.

Details: Kateryna said that Artur was killed in Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi in Kharkiv Oblast on 18 March.
Artur joined the military in April 2025. In recent months, he had been serving in the 43rd Separate Mechanised Brigade.
"When he returns home, I will write about the day of the funeral. Please remember him as funny," his wife wrote.
Artur was known for performances in some popular Ukrainian comedy shows.
In addition, he worked as a scriptwriter on the television project Ya soromlius svoho tila, the Ukrainian version of the British show Embarrassing Bodies.
"This is a huge loss. There are not enough words (…) Artur Petrov has been killed in action," comedian Vasyl Baidak wrote. "I used to get so tired of hearing his joke about the pug, and how much I would like to hear it once again now. But no, because Russia is f***ing scum. When possible, we will see Artur off as soon as we can. Eternal memory to stand-up comedian Artur Petrov."
