Zelenskyy shares how Qatar's Emir praised Ukrainian drone defence experts

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has received high praise from the Emir of Qatar for the work of Ukrainian experts sharing their experience in air defence.

Details: In Doha, Zelensky met with a team of Ukrainian experts who are providing their knowledge and expertise on air defence in Qatar. The Ukrainian specialists briefed him on their work and achievements. They conducted an overall assessment of Qatar's security situation, its capabilities to counter aerial threats and developed concrete measures to strengthen air defence.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "Today, during the meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, it was important for me to hear such high praise for the work of our team and gratitude for their consultations."

Details: According to the Ukrainian experts, ballistic and drone strikes are currently the region's greatest challenge. While only air defence systems are effective against ballistic threats, Ukraine has developed significantly cheaper solutions to counter drones.

"They have already proven their effectiveness against different types of drones, which is why Qatar is so interested in our experience. Ukraine always emphasises that we are ready to share our expertise and assist those who, in turn, can help us strengthen our own defence," Zelenskyy stressed.

Zelenskyy noted that Qatar is ready for long-term cooperation across various areas.
