Bulgarian PM arrives in Kyiv

Acting Prime Minister of Bulgaria Andrey Gyurov arrived in Kyiv on a visit on Monday 30 March.

Details: During his visit, Gyurov will hold bilateral meetings with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and other Ukrainian officials.
The delegation includes Foreign Minister Nadezhda Neynsky, Transport and Communications Minister Korman Ismailov, Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov, Education and Science Minister Sergei Ignatov, and Energy Minister Traycho Traykov.
The new interim government of Bulgaria, headed by Andrey Gyurov, took office on Wednesday 18 February.
Background:
- The Bulgarian government resigned in December under pressure from the largest protests in decades, triggered by an unpopular annual budget proposal.
- Gyurov was appointed to the post on 12 February and will serve as acting prime minister until the elections in April.
