General Staff: Ukraine strikes Alchevsk steel plant and S-400 Triumf system in Crimea

Ukraine's defence forces have reported strikes on the Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works in temporarily occupied Luhansk Oblast, which is used by Russian forces for military production, as well as on a train echelon and an S-400 Triumf air defence missile launcher in Crimea.

Details: It is noted that a high-value launcher from an S-400 Triumf anti-aircraft missile system was confirmed hit near the village of Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea).

In temporarily occupied Luhansk Oblast, the Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works – involved in the production of large-calibre ammunition – was also struck. A large-scale fire was recorded on the plant's premises.

Additionally, on 29 March, hits were recorded on a military train of the Russian forces near the village of Novosvitlivka (temporarily occupied Luhansk Oblast).

Over the past day, a series of strikes were also carried out on command posts and areas where Russian personnel were concentrated. In particular, a UAV command post was hit near Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; a cluster of Russian military personnel was struck in the area of Novaya Tavolzhanka (Belgorod Oblast, Russia).

Several clusters of Russian troops were also hit in the areas of Berezove in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Basivka in Sumy Oblast and Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

"The enemy's losses and the scale of damage are being confirmed. Available photo and video materials from objective monitoring confirm the accuracy of the strikes," the statement said.
