Details: Drone operators within Russian forces are a priority target for Ukrainian defence forces, and the task set for Ukrainian troops is to "reduce the enemy pilot's life cycle on the battlefield as much as possible". In particular, specialised units are being formed.

More details: Twice as many electronic points, or e-Points, are awarded in the Army of Drones Bonus system for killing Russian drone pilots – the same as for killing infantry troops. Fedorov also released footage of an operation by fighters from the Alpha Special Operations Centre, who located and attacked the crew of a Russian Molniya drone. Ukrainian troops succeeded in killing one of the pilots and destroying the drone before take-off. [E-points are earned by Ukrainian units for confirmed strikes on Russian soldiers and equipment – ed.]

Background:

  • Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that Russia planned to increase the number of unmanned systems troops to 101,000 by 1 April.
  • Fedorov has also proposed awarding e-Points to units in whose sector a Russian soldier committed suicide.
