Canada to help Ukraine set up Veterans Support Fund

Canada has expressed its readiness to cooperate in establishing a Veterans Support Fund in Ukraine, aimed at strengthening the system for their post-service reintegration.

Details: Svyrydenko added that the meeting also covered cooperation between the two countries on critical minerals and the development of mineral deposits, with plans to deepen geological exploration collaboration.

Background: The Assembly of Donors of the International Cooperation Account will provide €30 million for initial repair work on the New Safe Confinement (NSC) at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, which was damaged by Russian forces in 2025.
