Details: Budanov said the American delegation, led by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law, may visit Kyiv after 12 April.
He said Republican Senator Lindsey Graham may also be part of the delegation.
"Kushner, Witkoff, Lindsey Graham – those are the ones expected to come. Who else will be there – we'll see," Budanov said.
He also noted that Ukraine could receive more substantial security guarantees following the US delegation's visit.
"We set out what we want a long time ago. I think it will be implemented soon. What comes next is another question. But on security guarantees, we have definitely made progress – we've already moved forward," Budanov emphasised.
Separately, he added that Ukraine has been asked by its international allies to stop its regular airstrikes on Russian oil refineries amid the surge in global oil and fuel prices caused by the war in Iran.
