Search and rescue operations end at Odesa building where Russian attack killed three people

Search and rescue operations have been completed at a residential building in Odesa where a Russian attack killed a young mother and her two-year-old daughter, as well as a 53-year-old woman. A further 16 people are currently known to have been injured.

Details: Odesa Oblast Military Administration said an apartment block and seven houses were damaged in the Prymorskyi district in Odesa.

Odesa's Kyivskyi district also sustained extensive damage. Thirteen apartment blocks were damaged there, with more than 850 windows blown out. A further 39 houses were damaged, nine of them fully destroyed.

Quote: "Search and rescue operations at the building where people were killed have now been completed. Work is ongoing to clear the rubble and dismantle structures at risk of collapse.

The total number of people injured currently stands at 16."

More details: Operational staff continue to work in both districts. Municipal workers are clearing the areas and boarding up damaged windows.

Background: On the night of 5-6 April, Russian forces attacked Odesa. Earlier reports said three people had been killed and 15 injured.
