Another 25 kilometres of roads on key routes in Donetsk Oblast to be covered with anti-drone nets
More than 25 kilometres of anti-drone protection are being built over roads on two strategically important routes in Donetsk Oblast. The installation of the nets is due to be completed by the end of April.

Details: Fedorov said personnel from the State Special Transport Service are working at a pace of about one kilometre a day. Roads are being covered with anti-drone nets along important routes in Donetsk Oblast.
Quote: "The enemy is actively using FPV drones to attack transport and civilian vehicles. That is why we are strengthening security and deploying anti-drone structures on key routes."
More details: Since the start of 2026, 371 kilometres of roads on logistics routes in frontline oblasts have already been equipped with such nets, namely in Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts.
Background:
- It was reported earlier that Ukraine plans to install anti-drone protection along 4,000 km of roads by the end of the year. An additional UAH 1.6 billion (about US$37 million) were allocated from the state budget for anti-drone netting.
- A draft bill was also presented in the Italian Senate on creating a state mechanism for transferring decommissioned fishing nets to help protect Ukrainian cities from Russian drones.
