Background:
- On 10 April, Russian ruler Vladimir Putin declared a so-called "Easter truce", which was expected to remain in effect from 16:00 Moscow time on 11 April until the end of 12 April, the day of Orthodox Easter celebrations.
- Despite these remarks, Russian forces continued combat operations. On the evening of 11 April, DeepState analysts reported that the Russians had used first-person view (FPV) drones to deliberately kill wounded Ukrainian defenders near Huliaipilske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
- The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that after 16:00 Kyiv time alone, 469 violations of the ceasefire regime by Russian forces were recorded. They carried out 22 assault actions, 153 artillery strikes and used nearly 300 loitering munitions against Ukrainian positions.
