Ukrainian forces withdraw to new defensive lines in Sumy Oblast

Ukrainian troops have withdrawn to new defensive lines near the settlement of Myropilske in Sumy Oblast, close to the Russian border, due to the Russians' superiority in manpower and equipment.

As a result of intense fighting and the enemy's superiority in manpower and equipment, units of the defence forces of Ukraine moved to new prepared defensive lines to preserve the lives of personnel, where they continue to hold the defence." Details: The corps also stated that the situation remains under control and that Ukrainian forces are ready for further action.

Background: Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia is seeking to create a buffer zone along its entire border with Ukraine.
