Russian strikes damage Dnipro Art Museum for second time

The building of the Dnipro Art Museum has been damaged in a large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine. All 96 windows have been blown out and the facade has also been damaged.

Details: The museum administration said not a single window remained intact in the building. The museum's exhibits were not damaged.
The museum said that it will close temporarily and that details of its reopening will be announced in due course.

This is not the first time the museum has suffered from Russian strikes. On 30 September 2025, a Russian attack blew out almost all the windows and doors in the building.
Background:
- Russia struck the city of Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the night of 15-16 April. Explosions were heard at about 03:00 in the morning. Damage was recorded at 11 locations. Four people were killed and 34 were injured as a result of the Russian strikes on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
- Buildings of two universities were damaged in the Russian attack – academic and student accommodation buildings of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology and Dnipro Polytechnic.
- The Dnipro City Council Cultural Heritage Protection Department said a heritage building was also damaged for the second time as a result of a Russian strike. The department said the building had kept its original entrance layout, valuable interior design elements and authentic stair railings.
