Russian strike hits critical infrastructure in Chernihiv: fires break out, part of city without power

Russian forces conducted strikes on critical infrastructure in the city of Chernihiv on the night of 16-17 April, causing fires and leaving around 6,000 residents without electricity.

Details: Bryzhynskyi reported at around 03:00 that Russian forces had attacked critical facilities in the city.

He added that fires had broken out at the scenes.

He also said information on casualties is still being confirmed.

Chernihivoblenergo reported that an energy facility in the Chernihiv district had been damaged as a result of the attack, leaving around 6,000 consumers in Chernihiv without power.
