Russia attacks Ukraine with 155 drones: hits recorded at 9 locations, assault rages on

Russia attacked Ukraine with 155 drones on the night of 22-23 April. Ukrainian air defences have downed 139 UAVs, although hits have been recorded at nine locations.

Details: Starting at 18:00 on 22 April, Russian forces have launched Shahed (some jet-powered), Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones from the Russian cities of Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Shatalovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

About 100 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions.

As of 08:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 139 Russian drones in the country's north, south and east.

Hits by 11 UAVs have been recorded at 9 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 4 locations.
