Zelenskyy: troops, not words, will stop Putin from starting new wars
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that an international contingent deployed on the line of contact in Ukraine could help protect the world from further aggression by Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.

Quote: "Having foreign troops deployed along the line of contact would make it very dangerous for Russia to begin a new war. They are afraid of supporting forces, bases, and international representatives. If we don't have this presence, no words will stop Putin.
And if we truly want to stop him, I am not sure that powerful countries can be mediators. If you are mediating, he doesn't feel guilt. This is a big problem. I'm not forcing anybody to pick sides. But the thing is, if we want to end the war, we have to tell Putin he is not right. I am not sure that dialogues built on compromise work."
Details: Zelenskyy believes that US President Donald Trump, Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other influential global leaders should persuade Putin to end the war.
