Zelenskyy arrives in Saudi Arabia – video

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Saudi Arabia, where he is set to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

Quote: "Yesterday, at a meeting with European leaders, we secured financial guarantees for our resilience. Today, we are advancing our agreements with Saudi Arabia in the areas of security, energy, and infrastructure.

It is important that the strengthening is mutual. I appreciate the substantive cooperation between our countries."

Background:

• Zelenskyy last visited Saudi Arabia on 26 March, when the defence ministries of Ukraine and Saudi Arabia reached agreements on defence cooperation.
• Ukrainian counter-drone experts are also working in Saudi Arabia, contributing to security cooperation in the Middle East.
