Quote: "The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant once again lost its external power supply on 26 April. The Ferosplavna-1 power transmission line was disconnected, causing the plant to enter blackout mode.

The plant was powered by 19 backup diesel generators for one and a half hours.

This is already the 15th blackout at the plant since its occupation. Each such incident significantly increases risks to nuclear and radiation safety not only for Ukraine, but for Europe as a whole."

Details: Energoatom stressed that the situation once again confirms the urgent need to return the plant to the full control of Ukraine and its lawful operator, Energoatom, which is the only guarantee of the safe operation of Europe's largest nuclear power plant.
