Russia has launched around 1,600 attack drones at Ukraine over the past seven days, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.

Details: In total, over the week, Russia sent approximately 1,600 attack drones, nearly 1,100 guided aerial bombs and three missiles to attack Ukraine. This is significantly fewer than in the previous seven-day period.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "The Russians are trying to overwhelm our air defence with massive attacks, which is why the daily supply of interceptor missiles is critically important. It is equally important that pressure on the aggressor does not weaken, because any easing of existing sanctions only results in Russia's war chest being replenished, which it then spends on the war."

Zelenskyy also referred to a Russian attack on a bus in Kherson.

Zelenskyy described such attacks as "brutal 'safaris' against people" in frontline regions.
