Quote: "The day before [on 1 May], there was rather peculiar activity on sections of the border between Ukraine and Belarus, on the Belarusian side.
We are carefully recording everything, monitoring everything and, if necessary, we will respond. Ukraine is ready to defend its people and its sovereignty, and everyone who is being drawn into any aggressive activity against Ukraine must understand this."

He also reported preparations for new sanctions decisions.
Quote: "We continue our work with partners in Europe, the Middle East, the Gulf and other parts of the world – with everyone who can strengthen Ukraine's air defence and provide Ukraine with more economic strength. We expect substantial results from talks in May."
Background: Earlier, Zelenskyy reported about his phone call with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
