Quote: "Families with children must leave Novokyivka and Illinka in the Marhanets hromada, as well as Vyshchetarasivka in the Myrove hromada. There are currently 34 children living there. These are 28 families.

All residents must leave one street in Marhanets and almost 100 streets in Nikopol. A total of 1,145 people are to be evacuated." [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Details: According to Hanzha, the timing and routes of the evacuation will be coordinated individually with each family. Residents are expected to leave within a month.

Families will be able to relocate either to safer settlements within the Nikopol district, other parts of the oblast or other regions of Ukraine. Local authorities will provide organisational support and assistance.

In Nikopol, city authorities also plan to compensate rental costs for families with children who fall under the mandatory evacuation order but choose to remain in the city and move to safer neighbourhoods. The initiative is expected to be considered at an extraordinary session of the city council.
