Germany to finance creation of military training centres in Ukraine
Germany is allocating more than €10 million to an EU initiative aimed at creating military training centres in Ukraine, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has said during a visit to Kyiv.

Details: Pistorius said the funds will be used to finance the infrastructure of a fully fledged training institution.
He added that the training centres in Ukraine are intended to ensure Ukrainian forces maintain a high level of combat readiness even after a possible peace agreement with Russia.
The minister noted that this is one of several future deterrence measures.
Pistorius also said that almost 27,000 Ukrainian servicemen have already undergone training in Germany.

- On 11 May, Pistorius and Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov signed a letter of intent in Kyiv on launching Brave Germany, a joint programme for the development of defence technologies and support for innovative startups.
