Russia strikes energy facility in Odesa Oblast

Russian forces struck energy infrastructure in Odesa Oblast on the evening of 14 May, with critical infrastructure facilities switched to backup power.

Quote: "A UAV attack has damaged an energy facility in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. Fortunately, there are no casualties."

Details: The attack left 32 settlements without power. In total, over 15,000 consumers were left without electricity.

DTEK adds that energy workers are taking all measures to bring back electricity supply to all consumers as quickly as possible. Critical infrastructure facilities have been switched to backup power.

As of 21:00, energy workers had managed to provide power back to 12,000 consumers.

A further 3,000 homes remain without electricity.

The damage is significant and repair works will take time, the energy company explained.
