Details: The Ryazan oil refinery, owned by the Russian state-run oil company Rosneft, is located more than 500 km from the border with Ukraine. It is one of the most powerful oil-processing facilities in Russia, with most of its products exported abroad.

Ukrainian drones have previously struck the Ryazan refinery multiple times. The facility produces aviation fuel, petrol and diesel fuel for the Russian forces.

A large-scale fire was recorded at the site. The full extent of the damage is still being established.
