Energy workers injured and power outages following Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure

Some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv oblasts remain temporarily without electricity as of the morning of 18 May as a result of hostilities and Russian strikes on energy facilities.

Details: It is also noted that a repair crew in Donetsk Oblast came under attack from a Russian UAV while carrying out their duties.

The incident occurred while a service vehicle was en route to the site of emergency repair works.

Two workers suffered injuries of varying degrees of severity as a result of the attack. They were taken to a medical facility where they are receiving all necessary medical assistance.

Due to adverse weather, over 40 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv oblasts remain without electricity.

Repair crews are working to bring power back to consumers.
