Death toll from Russian missile strike on town in central Ukraine rises to three as 15-year-old boy dies in hospital

A 15-year-old boy who was injured during a Russian missile strike on Pryluky in Chernihiv Oblast on 19 May has died in hospital.

Details: According to Chernov, the boy had been in a critical condition.

Eyewitness Svitlana Sydorenko said the teenager had been walking near the Epicentr shopping centre during the attack. He sustained shrapnel wounds to his back and abdomen and was taken away by medics.

Regional police confirmed the teenager's death.

"As of 15:20, three residents of Pryluky are known to have been killed, including a 15-year-old boy. Unfortunately, the teen died in hospital from his injuries. Twenty-nine people were injured in the missile strike," police said.

The Russians also damaged businesses, 3 shopping centres, 17 shops, pharmacies, a kindergarten, educational institutions, apartment buildings, houses and more than 30 vehicles.
