"Long-range sanctions": Ukraine confirms strike on Lukoil refinery in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast

Units of Ukraine's defence forces struck a number of important facilities belonging to Russian forces on 19 May and on the night of 19-20 May, including a Lukoil refinery in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

Details: It is reported that in particular, the AVT-6 primary oil processing unit was struck with a subsequent fire at the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery in Kstovo in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

Following the strike on the Yaroslavl-3 oil pumping station in Semibratovo in Russia's Yaroslavl Oblast, damage to four storage tanks with a combined capacity of 140,000 cubic metres has been confirmed in early reports.

The military notes that the station is an important element of Russia's oil transportation system and is involved in supporting the military-industrial infrastructure of the aggressor state.

Russian command posts in Soledаr in Donetsk Oblast and command and observation posts in the areas of Liubymivka in Kherson Oblast and Ivanivske in Donetsk Oblast were also hit.

In addition, UAV command posts in Piddubne and Perebudova in Donetsk Oblast, Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Yelizavetovka in Russia's Kursk Oblast were struck.

Among other targets, Ukrainian troops struck concentration points of Russian personnel in the area of Novoukrainka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and in Myrne, Snizhnе and the city of Donetsk in Donetsk Oblast.

An ammunition depot near Marynivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and a repair unit in Siverskodonetsk in Luhansk Oblast were also struck.
