Quote: "There are several important things to say about today. I received reports from our military officials – Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and the General Staff, Andrii Hnatov – on our frontline activity, our actions against the occupier, and the Russian assaults.

This month saw changes in the dynamics in our favour, in Ukraine's favour. We are holding more positions and inflicting more damage. The impact of our long-range sanctions against Russia has been especially significant.

Today, I approved our long-range action plans for June, and we must creatively expand Ukraine's long-range sanctions, which proved their power in May."

Details: Zelenskyy has also discussed Ukraine's tasks for May and June with Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

Quote: "It is also very important that there is communication at the level of our teams with the new government of Hungary. Ukraine is interested in normal, good-neighbourly relations and full-scale cooperation. And we are doing our part to make that happen.

We also had positive contact between Ukraine and Georgia – it is time to normalise our relations. Of course, we are working substantively on the European institutional track. Ukraine deserves to be part of the European Union, and even in wartime, while fighting for our independence and defending our statehood, we are moving forward towards Ukraine's full European integration."

Background: On the morning of 19 May, explosions were heard in the Russian city of Yaroslavl; the local authorities claimed it was a UAV attack and said a drone had struck an industrial facility. The main road to Moscow was closed. The target may have been an oil refinery in the southwest of the city.
