Details: Drone operators from the 1st Separate Centre of the Unmanned Systems Forces carried out the attack on the Russian drone training centre on the night of 19-20 May. Ukrainian forces also struck units from the 78th Sever-Akhmat Special Purpose Regiment named after Akhmat Kadyrov, which is part of the 42nd Division of the Russian Armed Forces. [Akhmat Kadyrov is the deceased pro-Moscow Chechen president and father of the current Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov – ed.]
The operation was named "Snow for Akhmat" (Snizhne means "snowy" in Ukrainian) and involved 11 attack drones armed with 100kg warheads.
Quote: "We hit a training and production facility and temporary deployment point of the 78th Sever-Akhmat Motorised Special Purpose Regiment named after A.A. Kadyrov, operating as part of the 42nd Division of the worms' army. The main two-storey compound, covering 2,484 sq m, housed UAV and warhead assembly facilities and a floor where personnel were stationed. The stock of ammunition in the basement added unforgettable impressions for the worms who were at the site."
More details: Ukrainian forces have confirmed that the operation killed 65 Sever-Akhmat special forces cadets and the centre's head, known by the alias Buryi, a doctor of the Russian Academy of Rocket and Artillery Sciences. Brovdi said Russia had three such academies in temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast and now has two left.
