Russia has released details of the ZAK-30 Citadel anti-aircraft system, which Russian forces say has been developed to protect military facilities from drones.

Details: The system has a 30mm calibre and according to Russian claims is capable of operating around the clock.
"The system's shells with remotely controlled fuses contain shrapnel filling. The Citadel guidance system calculates the most advantageous detonation point depending on the target's flight trajectory. Far fewer such shells are required to destroy a target compared to conventional ammunition," Rostec claimed.
Russian officials also said the anti-aircraft system is equipped with optical-electronic and radar systems for detecting and tracking drones. The Citadel's optical channel can operate in either visible or infrared spectrum modes.
