Russia attacks Ukraine with Kinzhal missile and 147 drones: air defence destroys 138 UAVs, hits recorded
Russian forces attacked Ukraine with a Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missile and 147 drones of various types on the night of 27-28 May. Ukrainian air defence has downed 138 drones, although strikes from the missile and nine UAVs have been recorded at seven locations.

Details: The Kinzhal missile was launched from Russia's Lipetsk Oblast.
In addition, Russian forces deployed 147 Shahed (some of them jet-powered), Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions as well as drones of other types. They were launched from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from Hvardiiske and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
